I find it hard to hear myself say this, but have we actually turned the corner of this global financial crisis?
Stockmarkets are up.
Business Confidence is up.
Retail sales are up.
But for me most importantly of all the Chinese economy is up. It was expected to be the last into recession (which it was). The shallowest of all recessions (which it was), and the first to come out (which so far it appears to be).
I’m not saying we have turned the corner, as this latest economic data may be just a sucker punch for worse to come, but I’m a true skeptic, and even I am starting to believe!
