The growth in employment certainly demonstrates that the economy is improving as 160,000 jobs have been taken up in the three months to May. However this growth is down to part-time employment and self-employment while full-time employee numbers have dropped by 22,000 to 18.2 million. This may help companies in that part-time labour may well have reduced costs and so the companies may save money, but the small company is not to know if the large company concerned is in this state. The best path for the small company is to communicate with the large company and ascertain what is happening with the bill and take it from there. If the response is unsatisfactory then the small company may well feel fully justified in looking at Debt Collection proceedings. The small company should take care when evaluating the Debt Collection market, since the financial downturn has seen an increase in the numbers of Debt Collection Agencies and lawyers that are offering business Debt Collection. The difficulty is that this rise may be due to the increased number of bad debts that a financial situation brings and the motives of these newer Debt Collection Agencies and lawyers may not be ethical. This causes problems for the small company in that they may not be able to distinguish between good and bad Debt Collection Agencies and lawyers, and so may end up on a loser.
A better Debt Collection path and one that has a much reduced price tag than Debt Collection Agencies and lawyers is Debt Collection Software, which will let the small company to take on the Debt Collection project in-house. This has benefits in that the small company is in control of the dealings with the large company and so can take care not to ruin the professional relationship that may have built up. Also they will know what outlay is involved and should not get any unexpected bills. A decent Debt Collection Software application can be had for around £40, whereas Debt Collection Agencies and lawyers charge from 10% to 20% or more of the bill value as their fee, so any debt over £400 and the small company has saved money with Debt Collection Software. Also, they can use their Debt Collection Software application for any future debts with little or no extra outlay.
Naturally the small company will have to provide their own resources to both operate the Debt Collection Software and to write the all important Debt Collection letters. Their main resource will be people and for writing the Debt Collection letters, the people chosen should have a good grasp of English so that there won’t be any mistakes on the Debt Collection letters that are sent to the large company. Such a thing could disrupt the Debt Collection process and also put the small company in a bad light.
So, if the small company is prepared to take the risk and dedicate their energies to the Debt Collection Software they should be able to convince the large company to pay the bill, all for a lower outlay than that charged by Debt Collection Agencies or lawyers.
